Hydraulic Cylinder Hydraulic Cylinder, Cylinder Working Principle
Jul 04, 2019
Actuator in the hydraulic system. Generally, it is composed of a cylinder block, a cylinder rod (piston rod) and a sealing member. The inside of the cylinder body is divided into two parts by a piston, and an oil hole is respectively passed through. Since the compression ratio of the liquid is small, when one of the oil holes enters the oil, the piston will be pushed to make the other oil hole out of the oil, and the piston drives the piston rod to extend (retract) and vice versa.
How hydraulic cylinders work
Let's talk about its most basic 5 parts:
1-cylinder and cylinder head
2-piston and piston rod
3-sealing device
4-buffer
5-exhaust device.
The working principle of each cylinder is almost the same. For a manual jack, the jack is actually the simplest cylinder. The hydraulic oil enters the cylinder through a one-way valve by manual pressurized stalk (hydraulic manual pump). At this time, the hydraulic oil entering the cylinder can no longer be reversed due to the single valve, forcing the cylinder rod upward, and then continuing to make the hydraulic oil in the work. Constantly entering the hydraulic cylinder, so as to continue to rise, when the pressure is lowered, the hydraulic valve is opened to return the hydraulic oil to the fuel tank. This is the simplest working principle, and the others are improved on this basis, the cylinder and the cylinder The principle is basically the same.
According to the structure of common hydraulic cylinders, they can be divided into four types:
1. Piston type
2. Plunger type
3. Telescopic
4. Swing type
Advantages and disadvantages of cylinders and cylinders:
Advantage 1: Since the pressure of the pneumatic system is generally in the range of 0.2-1.0 MPa, the cylinder is a power component that cannot be used as a high power. Hydraulic cylinders can be used to make relatively large power components, using hydraulic systems
Advantage 2: From the medium, the air can be used inexhaustibly. There is no cost and supply difficulty. The used gas is directly discharged into the atmosphere, which is convenient to handle and does not pollute. The hydraulic oil is the opposite.
Advantage 3: The air viscosity is small and the resistance is less than the hydraulic oil
Advantage 4: However, the compression ratio of air is much larger than that of hydraulic oil, so its work stability and response are far away.
The hydraulic cylinder is the most important actuator in the hydraulic system. It converts hydraulic energy into mechanical energy and cooperates with various transmission mechanisms to complete various mechanical movements. The hydraulic cylinder has the characteristics of simple structure, large output force, stable and reliable performance, convenient use and maintenance, and wide application range.
