What is a single-rod piston cylinder?

Jun 15, 2024

The piston of a single-rod piston cylinder has a piston rod at only one end. Since the effective areas of the left and right chambers of the single-rod piston cylinder are not equal, its characteristics are: when the fluid pressure and flow rate Q alternately entering the two chambers of the cylinder remain unchanged, the thrust F output by the piston cylinder in the left and right directions are not equal, the reciprocating motion speed is also different, and the larger the piston rod diameter, the greater the difference.
However, when the cylinder body is fixed and the piston rod is fixed respectively, the motion range of their corresponding workbenches is the same.
