Repair of hydraulic cylinder piston rod bending
Mar 20, 2020
For hydraulic cylinders with a large aspect ratio, the stroke is large. The hinged ends, the white weight of the hydraulic cylinder, and the eccentric load make the cold rod easy to bend and destabilize. You should use different methods to straighten the rod according to the outer diameter of the piston rod.
1) The piston rod with smaller outer diameter can be straightened by jack after bending. First, an inverted L-shaped steel frame 3 is welded to the steel plate 1, the two ends of the piston rod are leveled with wooden squares, and a jack is placed between the steel frame 3 and the piston rod. Then make the jack rod slowly extend and press the bent piston rod. After visual inspection, press the jack rod firmly, keep it for about 15 minutes, and then perform the second pressing. The second pressing force should slightly bend the axis of the piston rod in the opposite direction. After maintaining 20nin, open the check valve of the jack to release the pressure. If the axis of the piston rod is visually inspected to be straight, then the straightness test is performed to meet the requirements (1000: 0.06).
2) The piston rod with a larger outer diameter (d rod> 55mm) can be straightened by a press after bending
Since the piston rod with a larger outer diameter needs a larger force to align it, the alignment process must be performed on a press.
Note: During the alignment process, the piston rod and metal should be separated by a certain thickness of cotton yarn. At the same time, the two ends of the piston rod must be fixed to prevent it from slipping out.
When the damage of the piston rod is not very serious, the repair method described above is simple, short in cycle, low in cost, and reliable in use, and is worth promoting.
