High precision hydraulic cylinder tubes uses a kind of low cost process to obtain high inner hole gauge and quality, which can not only effectively reduce the surface roughness of inner hole, but also strengthen the surface of inner hole, improve the hardness of inner hole gauge and extend the fatigue life of tubes. The inner hole of many oil cylinders adopts this process now. After skiving and roller burnishing, the surface roughness can be reduced by 2 to 3 grade. The process has good applicability for carbon steels which has low hardness and good plasticity.
